This project promotes storytelling and the relationship between story and place (intended as places with great stories, which we call Storygardenz). Stories and storygardenz are being put onto a map (Mapz of Imagination) which represents the world as "we are the songs we sing".
This is the first project to combine stories, places (storygardenz) and the best "green tourism", expressed as quality time or empty time (from the Latin dies vacantes, empty days, root of vacation) in order to bring people into extended contact with the power of stories.
There is scientific evidence that the allegorical and even illogical quality of stories (myths, legends, folk tales etc.) substantially alters the functioning of the human brain and assists a renewed vision of the world and the web of life. This is why storytelling is called cultural ecology.
The stories have been written and collected by founder DADO (a.k.a. as Bernard Anson Silj) and by other partners in this project (see "people" in "about us") and are been seasoned by questions such as "what is reality ?", "what is a fact ?" "what is comprehensible and sensible", and also by "NON-SENSE as NOH-ZEN, NOH-ZEN as ZEN", which is the oldest philosophical school in the world.
The stories and places and the songs we sing are represented (1) by films, see www.goingdado.com directed by David Rich (2) by books, see www.carmenvia.co.uk and by tour guides which show a world led by story and not by artifact (3) by the Mapz of Imagination and (4) by the living voices of storytellers and racconteurs in this project.
