This project is dedicated to new forms of tourism (recreational, eco-cultural, business) and (in the midst of life's cacophony) the search for quality time for all human activities: conviviality, leisure, communication, negotiation, listening, being quiet, preparing for action.
In particular, good communication is as much in the quality of receiving as in the quality of giving. Therefore special places are needed to remove people quickly from the battleframe of daily existence into zones of clear hearing and fair sight. In such a teleportation process, the voice (stories and storytelling) has a consummate role to play, especially where it is not reduced merely to scripture, but retains a living voice (logos), in the words and actions of living people.
We have called such special places Storygardenz and have begun to put them on a MAP, the Map of Imagination, which is a flexible, informal network of people, organizations and special places proposing themselves primarily by the power of their own stories - symbolically and without ideology - thereby also promoting a certain idea of global community, ecological sense, creative thinking and practice of peace (we are the songs we sing).
Storygardenz are certain special places, where certain great stories - and their psychological perspectives - may be experienced and exchanged, during the pauses from everyday living (just consider the word vacation, which originates from the Latin dies vacantes, empty days). Here are some. They may seem familiar, in unfamiliar ways, or vice versa. About them, dream-imagination says: "They don't make NO-sense. In a certain kind of sense."
